New Volunteer Position Description Available
Information and Assistance Volunteer
Help the Mental Health Association update our 2006 Youth and Family Resource Directory, Bridging the Gaps and Opening Doors to Mental Health, in preparation for the new 2007 directory.
The Youth and Family Resource Directory is widely used by mental health professionals, schools, families, and consumers in the Milwaukee County area. In fact, more than 3,500 copies were distributed in the first half of 2006.
What: Updating the directory includes contacting the agencies listed in the guide to verify their contact information and program descriptions. The volunteer must be comfortable making phone calls, sending emails, and must be proficient in Microsoft Word.
When: The length of the project will be approximately 1-3 months. We request that the volunteer make a minimum of a 3 hour commitment whenever they are able to come. Hours and days available are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to become more familiar with community resources!
Where: Our office is located in downtown Milwaukee at 734 N. 4th St., Suite 200. Parking validation or bus tickets will be provided.
